For its service-learning project, the D-ainty I-nvaders, Orono’s grade 3-6 Destination Imagination team, is collecting items to support Crossroads Animal Shelter. Below is a list of items that are being collected. Donations can be brought to Schumann Elementary, Orono Intermediate School, Orono Middle School, Orono High School and Discovery Center through Friday, December 20.

Instructional staff members new to Orono Schools began the new school year on Thursday, August 22, for two extra days of training. Returning staff members begin the year on Monday, August 26.
