This year was Orono School’s eighth year participating in WE Scare Hunger. From October 26-October 30, students in grades Early Learning – 12th grade brought non-perishable food items to school.
Donations were shared with IOCP, WeCAN and Orono’s SPARKS after school program. Members of the Orono High School “Youth in Action” club organized the drive. Our district collected more than 1,000 pounds of food! Our Early Learners at the Discovery Center collected an SUV full of food on their own.
We want to extend a huge thank you to Orono families for supporting our community, especially during this time!
