The Orono Middle School Unified Breakfast Club will be participating in a unified party and fundraiser for Special Olympics Minnesota. This year’s Unified Night Out will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. at Nickelodeon Universe at the Mall of America.
Students from OMS have the opportunity to fundraise for this event to help celebrate all that the OMS Unified Breakfast Club has achieved. Money raised helps support programs of Special Olympics Minnesota, while a portion of the funds raised are returned to support the OMS Unified Breakfast Club.
If you and your family would like to participate in this fundraising event, read the flyer at right. Please know this is an independent fundraising activity. The middle school will not be providing buses to and from, nor supervision at, the event. The Unified Breakfast Club Advisors, teachers Sara Hunstiger and Kristen Rasmussen, will be there to join in the fundraising.
If you and your family would like to participate in the event but do not wish to attend, please consider donating to Ms. Hunstiger’s/Ms. Rasmussen’s fundraising profile on the fundraising page.
The OMS Unified Breakfast Club meets once a month before school. Its purpose is to promote the inclusion of students with and without disabilities by bringing them together through a variety of activities. Students participate in gym games, outdoor sports and coloring activities. They also participate in schoolwide engagement opportunities such as Spread the Word to End the Word.
